Near Minsk in a clearing near the road in the agro-town of Hatezhino locals drew attention to strange flowers. There grew up a whole family of unusual dandelions on huge hollow legs, in which the yellow flower heads are arranged in groups of 5-8 pieces.
Scientists can not name the exact cause of the mutations without genetic expertise. They assume that it could affect this unfavorable ecology. “What is it?” This question interests users of social networks that publish photos of unusual dandelions, fearing that this may be an “echo” of the Chernobyl disaster.
In the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the connection of dandelion mutants with Chernobyl was denied.
