During the earthquake, the sky over Mexico was illuminated by bright flashes

Many eyewitnesses reported that just before the earthquake and during the tremors, they saw bright flashes of different colors of green, white, and blue in the sky.

Such “earthquake lights” were noticed earlier in the time of strong underground woes in various countries of the world. There is an assumption that the occurrence of these outbreaks is associated with charged atoms on the Earth’s surface, which form a light-emitting plasma and appear several weeks before the onset of the earthquake, immediately before or during the onset of an underground cataclysm.

Perhaps these lights are somehow connected with the release of plasma from a recent powerful flash on the Sun of class X9.3. The ejection, reaching the atmosphere of the Earth, caused a strong geomagnetic storm and auroras, but whether these two events are related to each other is unknown.
