The aircraft of the Etihad Airways company received significant damage due to strong turbulence, injured 31 passengers. The incident occurred on may 4 during a flight from Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) to Jakarta (Indonesia).
The liner, carrying out flight EY474, was in the turbulence zone for 45 minutes before landing. When the plane landed, the passengers and crew were waiting for the doctors. 22 people received the necessary medical assistance at the airport, nine required hospitalization.
The airline officials said that because of the stringent flight conditions was damaged the Luggage compartment. “We provide all necessary assistance to the injured passengers”, – the message of the airline.
