The human face carved into sandstone was discovered by scientists in the Inner Mongolia region in China. The age of the find, according to experts, is more than 7.7 thousand years. The size of the face is 65 by 57 cm.
It has two symmetrical eyes 18 cm in diameter each, a mouth and four vertical lines that most likely represent teeth.
The recently discovered petroglyph is larger in size and more accurate in detail than similar images found in the Far East in Russia and other areas of Inner Mongolia.
