Chinese archaeologists have discovered several small ceramic figurines during the excavation in the Central province of Hunan. The artifacts were found in the area Sonicjapan in the city district of Changde. The age of the finds is about 4 thousand years.
Discovered artifacts represent anthropomorphic figures. They are all of small size, can easily fit in the palm of your hand. According to archaeologists, the faces of the figures are well preserved.
50 km from this place in the town of Tanlin the researchers also found ceramic figurines in the form of birds.
The opinion of Chinese experts, the items had probably a ritual meaning.
