Turkish archaeologists discovered at a depth of 43 meters off the coast near Marmaris in South-Western Turkey ceramic statue. According to experts, a representation of the goddess figure was most likely made in Cyprus. The age of the finds is about 2.7 thousand years.
The length of the fragment of the statue is 60 cm the Find was made in November last year, a group of scientists from the University of the Ninth of September during the exploration of the ancient shipwreck.
From the sculpture remained only the lower part. Full length figure was about 120 cm. Archaeologists plan to undertake additional research for the discovery of the missing fragment.
