An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 occurred in Ecuador. The epicenter lies at a depth of 10km and was located just 14 km from the town of Rocafuerte and 15 from the town of Portoviejo. The earthquake caused panic in the city population of Manabi, where on April 16, a powerful earthquake of magnitude 7.8, which killed 673 people.
