An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred off the coast of Taiwan

An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred near the eastern coast of Taiwan. The hearth lay at a depth of 12 km. Epicenter was at a distance of 21 km from the city of Hualien. Subterranean tremors were felt all over Taiwan.

A little later, earthquakes of aftershocks with magnitude 5.5, 5.3 and 5.2 occurred there.
