The Palace of Peace and Accord was built by the decision of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev specifically for holding the “Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions” in 2006. The building of the pyramid form became a visiting card of Astana and a popular tourist object.
