Storm rains over the past weekend have caused a severe flood in the central part of Croatia. In the town of Ogulin in Karlovac County there were flooded more than 1 thousand buildings, including 400 houses.
On Monday afternoon, the water receded, emergency services restored the supply of electricity, but on Tuesday an increase in the amount of precipitation is expected.
Rescuers urge local residents to be ready for new floods and advise to stock up on drinking water, candles, matches, batteries, medicines and other necessary items to last a few days.
