June 18 in Japan there was an earthquake of magnitude 6.1. It destroyed about 6,700 houses in 16 cities and towns in the prefecture of Osaka (Honshu Island). The houses that were built prior to the beginning of the eighties, that is, before the introduction of modern anti-seismic norms, were mostly damaged.
Until now, without gas there are residents of more than 8.5 thousand apartments and private houses. The gas supply will be fully restored on June 25.
