Earthquake of magnitude 5.2 occurred in the north of Iran

An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 occurred in the north of Iran, near Tehran. One person was killed, at least 100 were injured.

The earthquake affected the provinces of Tehran, Alborz, Qazvin, Kum, Gilan and Marcazi. The hearth lay at a depth of 7 kilometers. Epicenter was 2 km from Malard and 17 km from Kerej. Underground shocks were felt in a number of Iranian cities, including Tehran.

One person was killed, at least 100 were injured in an earthquake that occurred near the Iranian capital, said Mortes Salimi, head of the Red Crescent Organization of the Iranian Red Crescent.
