Fires in central Africa by satellite

This image was taken by a Suomi NPP satellite using a Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIRS) on June 27, 2017. He captured numerous fires in central Africa. Their pockets are marked in the picture in red. Most of the fires, most likely, are the work of human hands. In June, the harvest is being completed in this region and local people are burning grass and crop residues to clear the spot for the next season.
