Flooding in Japan

In the Japanese prefecture of Niigata, more than three thousand people were instructed to evacuate in connection with the threat of the spill of the Kakizakagawa River in the city of Joetsu.

In the zone of possible flooding, caused by downpours, there are 1159 dwellings. Living in them 3308 people must move to safe places for evacuation.

Heavy rains are expected in Niigata Prefecture tomorrow, July 4. According to forecasts of weather forecasters, 100 to 200 millimeters of precipitation will fall out. Meteorologists call for action before the situation can deteriorate.
