Hurricane Gervart collapsed on Sunday morning to the center and north of Germany, the Deutsche Bahn railway concern partially suspended the movement of trains.
According to the company, the restrictions affected the federal states of Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.
The Berlin Fire Service introduced an emergency regime due to bad weather. On its Twitter page, the service reported that 100 operations were conducted from 4.00 to 7.00 (from 6.00 to 9.00 Moscow time). Also raised on alert are all voluntary fire brigades.
