In Brazil, people saved a young whale

In Brazil, three hundred volunteers rescued a young whale, which was carried ashore. A calf weighing about fifteen tons lay in the sand for a day.

People dug a canal, so that during the high tide the whale swept back into the water. Scientists suggest that the mammal fought off the group during migration to the Antarctic.
