Yesterday in the Indian city of Phalodi of Rajasthan state, the thermometer stood at +51 degrees. This is the highest temperature for India for all history of meteorological observations.
The previous record was recorded in the summer of 1956, when the temperature in Alwar of Rajasthan state amounted to +50.6 degrees. In several other cities of the state were also updated temperature records.
According to Meteorological Department of India, in the coming days, the heat will increase, and the temperature will rise above 47.
