In the east of Malaysia because of floods 5 thousand people were evacuated

Heavy rains caused floods in eastern Malaysia. About 5 thousand people were forced to leave their homes.

Some parts of the state of Sarawak have been affected by the floods. In just a day, up to 200 mm of precipitation fell. The authorities were forced to close schools and hospitals. For the temporary headlong roof, 25 evacuation centers were set up.

In distressed areas, 14 tons of food products were delivered by air to help the victims.
