Japanese volcano Sakurajima emits plumes of ash

The volcano Sakurajima emits plumes of ash to a height of 2.5 km above sea level.

Active volcano Sakurajima is located near the port city of Kagoshima on the island of Kyushu, just 50 kilometers from NPP “Sendai”. For rampaging the giants continue to watch volcanologists. Note, in 1914 mountain burst into a powerful fountains of lava, which buried the surrounding villages and added the island to the nearby Osumi Peninsula. In 2013 Sakurajima resumed volcanic activity.
