Mighty sandstorm hit Mecca

A sandstorm with rain passed in Mecca on one of the days of Hajj. The heavy rain was accompanied by intensified gusts of wind, which carried garbage cans, road signs and plastic fences.

Bad weather made the movement in Mecca and its suburbs much more difficult. There was no panic among the pilgrims. On the video appearing on the web, you can see how the wind almost tears off the pilgrims’ tents and waves the veils on the Kaaba.

Pilgrims began to perform the rites of hajj, having moved to a tent city in the Mina valley. After sunrise on Monday, they will head for the main rite – standing on Mount Arafat.
