On the Ground is ongoing geomagnetic storm

A fast-moving stream of solar wind hit the Earth’s magnetic field and sparked a geomagnetic storm around the poles.

Our planet is inside a stream of solar wind coming from coronal holes. Coronal hole — a region of the solar corona with lower temperature and density plasma.

This occurs when the result of some interaction of the magnetic lines of the star are open and the Sun begins to “lose” plasma. Freely flowing from the solar space plasma called the solar wind.
