1 person was killed and 31 people were injured as a result of strong wind, accompanied by rain, struck the city of Iquitos in the night on Saturday.
The victim was identified as an elderly man of 70 years, bill Grimes. He was on the third floor of his house when a strong wind broke window glass and threw the man to the sidewalk. Having received serious injuries, died in hospital this morning.
More than 160 residential and administrative buildings received damage from the wind to a greater or lesser extent. The wind also felled trees and poles, demolished, and broke off the wire.
