The area of forest fires in the Krasnoyarsk Territory per day has increased by more than 50 thousand hectares and exceeded one million hectares, reports the Forest Fire Center in Krasnoyarsk.
According to him, there are 99 forest fires in the region on a total area of 1,042,434 hectares, including 80 in the control zone on an area of 1,037,654 hectares.
The centers of fires operate in Evenkiysky, Boguchansky, Yeniseysky, Taymyrsky, Kezhemsky, Pirovsky, Nizhneyingashsky and Abansky areas.
As of Monday morning, 986.3 thousand hectares of forest were burning in the region. The ministry reported that 494 people and 13 pieces of equipment are working on the fire.
