The consequences of a strong earthquake in northern Chile

Last Sunday in northern Chile an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 occurred. Underground shocks caused the descent of landslides.

The epicenter of the earthquake was in the north of the country in the Arica region, 76 kilometers south of Putre. The hypocenter was located at a depth of 110.8 km.
Underground shocks from 4 to 7 points were felt in a number of northern regions of the country, the strongest in the Arica region.

As a result of the earthquake, landslides and landslides occurred in mountainous areas. Information about the victims and the destruction did not come.
