The earthquake measuring 6,3 is recorded in the water area of the Indian Ocean in 175 km to the South from the city of Lumayang in the east of Java Island (Indonesia).
Tremors were felt on all Java Island and on the islands of Bali, Madura and the Western Lesser Sunda Isles. Because of the strong tremors in settlements panic began and people began to leave buildings in large quantities.
