The epidemic of yellow fever started in Nigeria

According to the information of the World Health Organization (WHO), in 16 states of Nigeria, 341 cases were registered, suspicious of yellow fever, 45 of which were fatal.

The majority of cases are young people under the age of 20, about 65.9% of the total number of people infected.

Currently, WHO assesses the situation in Nigeria as having high risks of spreading at the national level, moderate for border states, and low for the whole world, which do not impede international travel and trade.
