Yesterday, on May 2, an eruption of a mud volcano Lokbatan, located on the Caspian Sea shore 15 kilometers from Baku, was reported, the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan reported.
The depth of the volcano is 4 km, the duration of the eruption was 4 minutes. Observation of volcanic activity is established on the site of volcanic activity. The last eruption of this volcano was recorded in 1810.
