The outbreak of Kilauea volcano began in Hawaii

In Hawaii, an eruption of a volcano began. It was provoked by earthquakes, which occurred in the region several times in recent days. The hot lava, pouring out of the vents, moves to the sides of the settlements and has already reached the settlement of Lehalani Estates, where about 1,500 people live.

The authorities announced an evacuation, shelters were built on the island, although people were warned about the possible awakening of the volcano in a week.

The Kilauea volcano is 1247 meters above sea level, but most of it is hidden beneath the Pacific Ocean.

Kilauea is considered the home of Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes. The last time the eruption of this volcano happened in 2014, it is called one of the most active volcanoes on the planet.
