A nuclear explosion inside the reactor

Two scientists from Texas had conducted a nuclear explosion in a research reactor as part of the annual prevention that allows you to check the security level of the installation. For 3,94 MS power pulse of a nuclear explosion increased from 50 W to 1484 MW. The maximum temperature inside the reactor amounted to 419 degrees Celsius.

According to scientists, a nuclear explosion with the following parameters is sufficient for research, but for industrial production of energy is not enough. So, at full power the nuclear generating station in Timber, the largest nuclear plant in the world generates from 6272 to 7276 MW of energy.
