About 10.3 thousand hectares of forest burned in the Far East

Over the past day in the Far East, eight new natural fires have arisen, about 10,3 thousand hectares of forest burned down. Such data was reported by representatives of the Department of Forestry in the Far Eastern Federal District.

As specified, only in the district for a day, there were 56 foci. The forces of forest fire formations managed to eliminate 14 fires. By Thursday morning, June 7, continued to put out 42 forest fires.

For a day, 10.3 thousand hectares of forest were burned, the bulk of this territory fell to the Amur Region (46 percent), Yakutia (36 percent) and Khabarovsk Territory (17 percent).
