Beautiful lenticular clouds enveloped mount Etna

An unusually beautiful sunset was observed on 5 September in the Italian Catania. The atmosphere became turbulent with the approach of a storm, which carries harsh weather conditions. Monday was hot day though and was broken cloistering high clouds, which are more and more compacted second half of the day.

Over the Etna volcano at sunset looming lenticular, much more thick and compact clouds, creating a surreal scene. Usually this kind of clouds (elliptical or lenticular) develop when strong turbulent winds blow in the middle atmosphere (20 to 30 thousand feet).
