American engineers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology created a robot that can collect Rubik’s cube in just 0.38 seconds.
The previous record belonged to the device Sub1 Reloaded, developed by a German specialist in 2017. This robot collected a puzzle in 0.637 seconds. The robot is equipped with stepper motors and two PlayStation Eye cameras.
In the published video, the orange elements were shaded with a black marker, since the system does not distinguish between the red and orange colors of the cube.
To rotate the verge of the puzzle, the robot needs about 10 milliseconds.
