On YouTube channel bioGraphic there was a taymlaps-video showing growth of a slime mold in the accelerated mode.
The slime mold is the organism consisting of the unique cage. The mucous weight called by a plasmodium extends by means of “feelers” – separate shoots. It allows it to find to itself food sources. At the same time the cellular membrane pulses that, according to scientists, demonstrates existence of the mechanism promoting growth of a slime mold.
By means of this shooting authors of a roller tried to find out how the slime mold deprived of a brain makes the decision in what party “to head”.
It should be noted that the speed of distribution of shoots reaches only several centimeters a day.
