At the Malyshevsky mine in the Urals, the largest emerald in the last ten years has been found. The mass of the stone was more than 1.5 kg. The length of the emerald is 14 cm, width – 7 cm. The mineral was found in the mine’s cleaning face.
The largest crystal, found before that at the Malyshevskoye field, weighed 1.2 kg. Today, this stone, valued by specialists of the Ural Mining Academy at $ 1.2 million, is stored in the collection of the Russian Gokhran.
