More than 20 thousand homes in New Zealand were left without light because of the hurricane

In New Zealand, more than 20,000 homes were de-energized due to a hurricane.

As specified, the hurricane left without electricity residents of more than 20,000 homes on the North Island. 12 thousand of them are located in Oakland, 9 thousand – on the Peninsula Coromandel.

According to weather forecasters, torrential rains will continue throughout the day. Gusts of wind reach 120 kilometers per hour.

Because of the spilled elements, traffic in the north of Auckland is partially suspended.
