The Antarctic eyes of the whale

Scientists shot a video in the waters of the Southern Ocean, setting the camera on the back of the whale. Scientists have installed cameras to unravel the mysteries related to the life of whales in the Antarctic. This made it possible to collect information about when and how the whales are eating, about their social life, even about the strength with which they must blow and thus clear the ice to breathe.

We managed to show that whales spend a significant part of the day for rest and socializing, and eat mainly in the evening and at night. According to the researchers, the data obtained allow them to better ensure the safety of whale feeding areas.
