In Australia, environmentalists witnessed the unusual occurrence – the rescue of adult female whale with her own cub. The incident occurred last Wednesday in the area of North Stradbroke island, about 100 kilometers from Brisbane.
Officers parks and wildlife Queensland (QPWS) noticed in the water the adult female humpback whale trapped in the shallows. Around her swam the whale, which was pushing the mother of his nose, as if trying to help her get out of shallow waters.
The staff watched the efforts of whales for about 40 minutes. Experts expect that the tides will help the female to escape without the help of people. Otherwise, they were ready to step in and conduct a rescue operation. Fortunately, this is not required.
