German scientists from the Institute of Astronomy of the Max Planck Society noticed the fast-moving star HIP 85605 in space.
According to the calculations of astrophysicists, after about 250 thousand years the celestial body will approach the Earth to the closest possible distance – 0.55 light years.
The force of gravity from the motion of a star can significantly affect the behavior of asteroids in the Oort cloud. As a result, some celestial bodies can crash to Earth and lead to chaos on our planet.
