On the Sun there was a powerful flash

Yesterday, October 18, the active zone located now behind the eastern edge of the sun threw a powerful flash accompanied by the ejection of the coronal substance. A huge plasma cloud (CME) was directed towards Jupiter and Mercury.

This outburst was not directed toward our planet and will have no effect on its magnetosphere, but the active region that served as the source of the outburst will very soon reach the visible side of the Sun and then the emissions from it can affect the Earth.
