On the Sun there was an outbreak of class X2.2

Today group of spots No. 2673, which is now moving in the southwestern sector of the solar disk, produced a powerful flash of the X-2.2 class. The outbreak began at 08:48 and ended at 09:59 UTC.

At the moment there is no confirmed information about whether this outbreak was accompanied by the ejection of the coronal mass. If yes, then the ejection will be directed toward the Earth.

Also, there is no information on the possible consequences of this outbreak if the coronal mass ejection did not occur.
