Yesterday, the people of India, witnessed the flight in the night sky, a bright meteorite, which had a bright green color.
Scientists explain the unusual color of the meteorite is the fact that the combustion in the earth’s atmosphere, green could give contained in the heavenly visitor copper or its oxides.
I doubt that it has to do with light shining through copper. From what I can remember, green light can be caused by burning argon, neon, or xenon gas, which are all in the Earth’s atmosphere. However it is difficult to remember which one. Someone I know vaguely is a chemistry teacher at the most advanced chemistry lab in the world, he’d know, but I can’t remember the places name, it’s Emory or something.
