The Earth does not stop geomagnetic storms

The fourth day in a row, Earth is inside a fast-moving stream of solar wind. This led to almost continuous auroras over Antarctica.

Meanwhile, the solar wind emanating from Equatorial coronal holes on the Sun can reach the Earth on August 8-9. According to forecasts, there is a 55% chance of geomagnetic storms on August 8, when the solar wind flow is expected to reach Earth’s magnetic field.
