The Sun is no any spots

Something weird is going on now in the Sun — June 3 number sunspots dropped to zero, and the solar disk remained blank for three day. The solar dynamics Observatory, NASA does not detect any significant dark nuclei.

What does it mean? Solar cycle, as the pendulum swings back and forth between periods of high and low numbers of sunspots every 11 years. Today is empty the Sun is a sign the fact that the pendulum has swung in the direction of low sunspot numbers. In other words, established a solar minimum.

But it works perfectly clean as today’s Sun is only temporary. Under the visible surface, there are formed the knots of magnetism that soon will become visible and create new sunspots. The current solar cycle not finished, but weakens quickly.

Space meteorologists expect the next solar minimum will occur in 2019-2020.
