The sheer amount of remaining winter snow still lies in mid-June in Glacier National Park, Montana.
The passes are littered with a thick layer of snow, the roads are blocked, in some areas the snow cover reaches 25 meters. Such a layer of snow occurs due to landslides, avalanches and landslides.
North Fork Road, Camas Road, Chief Mountain Road, Cut Bank Road, Many Glacier Road and Two Medicine Road all remain closed to vehicles. All campsites in the park are also closed.
