Near the coast of Australia found a strange tubular substance

A strange tubular mass was discovered by the diver Jay Winks. According to him, it reaches 3 meters in length. The strange substance puzzled marine biologists. They studied the photos and videos provided by Jay and found out that this luminous pink mass is one giant laying of eggs.

Rebecca Helm, a jellyfish specialist from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute in Massachusetts, suggested that bright pink dots in the form of lines around the tube could be eggs of a diamond squid. Whether the scientist’s assumption is still unknown, since the study was conducted only on the basis of video and photographs.

These bunches of eggs can contain from 20 to 40 thousand tiny squid, which grows to a length of up to 90 centimeters.
