The water in the Chichimequillas lagoon in Mexico turned bright pink

The Chichimequillas lagoon turned pink overnight in Zacatecas, Mexico. Residents fear for their health, because they drink this water, use it to irrigate their fields, and all sources in the region are connected underground.

It is still unknown why the water in the Chichimequillas Lagoon in Mexico turned bright pink.

Residents discovered a mysterious phenomenon on Good Friday early in the morning, immediately after the community was awakened by a loud roar.

There was no thunderstorm in the area. Therefore, many residents began to ascribe the pink water of the lagoon to extraterrestrial events, such as the fall of a meteorite on Earth, or to supernatural events such as UFOs.
