The ancient nomads from Asia were in Southern Siberia

Secrets of the past of Tuva in these days will be recognized by archaeologists. Artifacts of the 1st century BC were discovered. Many of them are material evidence that the ancient nomads from Asia reached South Siberia.

To open the secrets of the past, archaeologists have a month. Excavations are conducted by specialists from St. Petersburg and local scientists – with the support of the Russian Geographical Society, led by Sergei Shoigu. As a schoolboy he himself participated in expeditions in his native Tuva. Here where not a drop is necessarily a scientific sensation.

For example, in the town of Arzhaan, archaeologists have got to the bottom of this truth, after which the earth left the feet of scientists all over the world. The paradigm that the Scythians came to this region from the Black Sea region was destroyed. Here, a much older burial of nomads was discovered, which made it possible to look at history in a new way.

Judging by the graves, the Scythians came to Tuva land almost three thousand years ago. Arzhaan-1 is an exclusively scientific value – the burial was ransacked. But near it – in the same valley of kings – archeologists stumbled upon another funeral complex.

The Scythians believed in life after death. Therefore people were buried in the fetal position so that they could later be reborn, along with wives, servants, who were killed after the death of the king, and with all the acquired good. And in this barrow it was already 23 kilograms – pure gold. Now it is all kept in the National Museum of Tuva.

Thoughts of museum visitors certainly revolve around the main exhibit – the hryvnia – a symbol of power. This is the only such decoration of the Scythians, which has survived to this day in its original form. In addition, it is the heaviest – it weighs 1503 grams. The tsar wore it from childhood and never took pictures – there are not even fasteners for this.

And the tsar wore golden pants, which were woven of 250 thousand gold beads, he had an iron dagger (this metal was then only discovered and he was more expensive than gold), and the gold itself was the purest in the Scythians – 990 tests.
Probably, soon the collection of the museum will be replenished again – the archaeological season in this year is just beginning.

Earlier it became known that in Veliky Novgorod archeologists made a sensational discovery: for the first time it was possible to discover the whole cemetery of the end of X century. The specialists cleared everything from the ground and were surprised: funeral rites are not very much like those that are studied in history textbooks.
