11 people become victims of snowfalls in mountains of India

In northern India, heavy snowfall and inclement weather have killed at least 11 people, including mountain hikers, porters and guides. Several people are missing, their search continues.

Last Monday in the state of Uttarakhand, a group of 17 tourists and their accompanying persons disappeared while crossing a mountain pass, TASS reports. The search for people began after several guides managed to get to the nearest accommodation. Later, the military joined the rescuers.

As a result of the ongoing search and rescue operation, two people were found alive. 11 bodies of the victims were also found.
