Two bottlenose whales, believed to be the mother and her calf, were found dead. An adult mammal had a large wound on its side.
The bottlenose dolphin, or bottle-nosed dolphin, is a species of dolphins, one of three species of the genus bottlenose dolphins.
It is not known why the bottlenose dolphins ended up so far south.
