Swamping has to reach home or work place for many residents of the Indian city of Mumbai. The flood that paralyzed the financial capital of the country was caused by prolonged torrential rains.
The public transport is completely blocked, schools, universities, practically all administrative institutions are closed. The railway communication does not work. Many flights departing from the local airport have been canceled. More than 100 mm of precipitation has already fallen in the metropolis.
